Accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. AEPs do not perform any hands on therapy and use the Exercise is Medicine philosophy to assist in management of conditions utilizing exercise as the primary form of treatment.

AEPs provide support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental health problems, cancer, arthritis, pulmonary disease and more.  From a paediatric perspective AEPs will assist with providing group or individual programs to assist with obesity, cancer, neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and spinal cord injuries or movement dysfunction such as lower limb amputees.
