Emily graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours). A background in competitive swimming and diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, drives her passion about leading an active, healthy lifestyle and has led her to develop a deep understanding of the biological, psychological and social factors that play an important role in our daily health and wellbeing.
Through her work as a Learn to Swim instructor and time spent overseas volunteering teaching children essential skills for sport, Emily discovered her true passion for working in the paediatric population. Emily has considerable experience working within the NDIS framework supporting children and young adults with ASD, DCD, CP, hypermobility, low muscle tone and Down Syndrome.
Emily is driven to empower her patients to achieve their individual goals no matter how big or small. Her compassion is shown in her role as a support worker where she enjoys the new experiences each day brings. Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys teaching Reformer Pilates, exploring the beach and singing in the car.
